While Barack Obama was still a state senator in Illinois, in 2001 a bill was introduced in the state Senate that was closely patterned on the federal Born Alive Infants Protection Act, to govern constructions of state law. The proposed Illinois law required that life-sustaining treatment be given for a child in the event the child survived an abortion. The law had three parts divided into three bills. Senate Bill 1093 provided that no abortion procedure which had the reasonable likelihood of producing a live-born child should be undertaken unless a second doctor was present to provide medical treatment for the child. Senate Bill 1094 created a cause of action if a child was born alive after an abortion and the abortionist harmed or neglected the child or failed to provide life-sustaining medical treatment. Senate Bill 1095 provided a definition for a born alive infant. On March 30, 2001, these three bills were brought to the floor of the Illinois State Senate for discussion. On September 15, 2008, Hannity & Colmes interviewed abortion survivor Gianna Jessen about her participation in the BornAliveTruth.org ad campaign. In this powerful ad, Gianna questions Barack Obama for his active opposition as state senator to IL’s Born Alive Infants Protection Act. Gianna was aborted 31 years ago by a saline abortion procedure. Born Alive was introduced to stop IL hospitals from leaving babies who survived their abortions in soiled utility rooms to die. Gianna testified for the federal Born Alive Infants Protection Act in 2001 and attended the presidential bill signing in 2002. Born Alive passed on the federal level overwhelmingly. The abortion group NARAL even expressed neutrality on the bill, which passed unanimously in the US Senate 98-0. Barack Obama is such an abortion extremist, he has positioned himself to the left of the entire US Senate and NARAL. If it were up to Obama, Gianna would not be here today.
This hard hitting segment deals with the horror of an abortion procedure that would chill most Americans to the bone with a compelling story from a woman who survived a botched abortion.
more:www.myspace.com I interview Brandy Lozier who was aborted by her mother while in her mother’s womb. Fortunately for Brandy the Abortion procedure was unsuccessful and she survived. Brandy spends most of her time now advancing the pro life cause and denouncing politicians who support abortion rights. She is especially critical of Senator Barack Obama who voted several times against a bill known as the “Infants Born Alive Protection act” which would require doctors to give medical attention to babies who are delivered alive after an unsuccessful abortion procedure. In Brandy’s own words “fortunately Barack Obama wasnt in office at the time of my birth, because otherwise I might not be alive today” www.cafepress.com
