The only problem with that, for Obama, is that it would require ratification of 3/4 of the states legislatures (38 of the 50 states). I doubt that many would ratify.
Not only that, but to even have the states begin to debate the amendment at their level, they would either need a Constitutional Convention draft the proposed amendment (which is called by the states) or have 2/3 of both houses of Congress draft one for the states.
Neither is likely to happen before an impeachment.

It doesn’t matter if Obama was born in Hawaii or not. His father was a foreigner. Children, at the time of Obama’s birth who had a foreign parent had DUAL CITIZENSHIP. You can become a full-fledged NATURALIZED CITIZEN, but naturalized citizens CAN NOT BECOME PRESIDENT, only NATURAL BORN with two American citizens. You could have cameras in Hawaii while little Barry Soetoro was being born with proof beyond belief he was born in Hawaii, and that still wouldn’t make him eligible to be pres.

In June, 2008, after viewing the Certification of Live Birth, provided on Obama’s Fight the Smears website, Janice Okubo, of the Hawaii Health Department stated, “I don’t know that it’s possible for us to even say beyond a doubt what the image on the site represents.” Hawaii has never verified Obama’s Certificate as genuine, they won’t even confirm that they produced it. What you have stated is not a fact, but a fantasy. Time to wake up.

You forgot to mention what Hawaii State Health Director, Dr. Chiyome Fukino, said on July 27, 2009, as follows:
“I … have seen the original vital records maintained on file by the Hawaii State Department of Health verifying Barack Hussein Obama was born in Hawaii and is a natural-born American citizen,” Health Director Dr. Chiyome Fukino said in a brief statement. “I have nothing further to add to this statement or my original statement issued in October 2008 “
@unical2, Now exactly how does that statement verify the document produced by Obama? Not at anytime, has the State of Hawaii, verified that the document, posted by Obama-which is exactly what you claimed. Fukino said she had seen “vital records” verifying that Obama was born in Hawaii, but she never named those records now did she? If she meant the document posted by Obama, why didn’t she say so?

I have a Certificate of Live Birth from the Territory of Alaska. It was examined by the US Army, allowing me to hold a TS clearance.
It doesn’t matter if Obama was born overseas, his mother was a native-born US citizen, so he became a US citizen at birth. See section 301(g) of the Immigration and Nationality Act. To prove Obama was born overseas, you have to start by proving his mother left Hawaii in 1961. Find the passport, the airline rosters, the visa for Kenya.
@tanfouk, The Constitution requires the President to be a “natural born citizen”, meaning one born within our nation to Citizen parents. Obama was a British subject the moment he was born-he admits this on his own website. A natural born citizen, would have have no need to appeal to US immigration laws.

What he has presented is not a Certificate, but a “Certification of Live Birth”, (please note the spelling), a document which the State of Hawaii, routinely issues to children that were born outside of the USA. The State of Hawaii, additionally, has refused to confirm, that Obama’s document was issued by them.

The birth cert. is not even pertinate. The fact is he isn’t a natural born citizen! His father is/was at the time subject to the British Crown! At best he has dual citizenship! That FACT does disqualify him to be Prez! Period
@crowofdeath2, Yes, but the Newspaper announcements do not say WHERE he was born. Hawaii still issues COLBs to children who were born outside of the United States. When a foreign birth is registered, the newspaper prints the announcements. A “natural born citizen” is the child of US citizen parents, and we already know his father was NOT a US citizen, so he is NOT eligible, regardless of where he was born.
@Bigone5555J if he was born in kenya it only take 1 parent to be a citizen not 2…if my child was born in japan to a Japanese woman it would be a US citizen because i am a us citizen you have to get your laws straight man but i can say that his mother would have to had been 21 when he was born because with 1 parent they have to had lived in the US for i think it was 10 years and 5 more years after they turn 16
@crowofdeath2, You are talking about immigration laws-”Natural born citizens” are not immigrants and anyone who obtains citizenship through the application of an immigration law, is not a citizen by nature but by law. A natural born citizen, being born within our nation, and being born to US citizen parents, is by nature a natural born US citizen, and has no need to appeal to an immigration law.
