If you don’t know much about the Bible, this verse might make some impact; however, if you know alot about the Bible you can understand why that verse was included. The majority of the verses in Exodus and Leviticus included the law of the Israelites. All of these laws were built around commands that God gave like the ten commandments; however, Jewish leaders added stupid laws which the Lord himself did not agree with.
@parksdvd1979 – Some of the laws which the Lord did not agree with were the laws on how far you could walk on Sunday, etc. We can see proof of this by looking at Jesus comments to the religious leaders of his time about him healing on Sunday. He rebuked these laws. He also rebuked the divorce laws of the day even though they were also included in the Bible. They were included so that we could understand the society better not because it was God’s will. His will can be seen by searching….
@parksdvd1979 – through the scriptures and the words of the prophets those who actually followed the wishes of God and were often condemned by the so-called religious leaders of the day. These are the verses which I have included to make my point that life in the womb is precious. As far as life only existing in homes where it is appreciated, I totally agree; however, this is what adoption services are for. Saying a child should be killed because a selfish person does not want it makes….
@parksdvd1979 – no sense especially when you find out facts like adoption waiting list in some states are up to 10 years long. As far as who am I to judge people by their works. Read these verses and come back and talk to me (1 Corinthians 6:3-4, 1 Peter 4:17-18, 2 Timothy 3:16, Proverbs 27:17, 1 Corinthian ch.5, etc.)

@parksdvd1979 That’s the problem with trying to push your beliefs on others. Not everyone considers a fetus yet a living soul and according to EXODUS 21:22-23, neither does God. The book of EXODUS is also the Word of God.

Everyone’s life began at conception. The body rejects 1/4 of all pregnancies in the zygote stage; another large percentage in the first tri-mester; and so on. Do you think the zygotes, embryos, and fetuses of a body miscarriage are treated any differently by God than a deliberate miscarriage? My God is an awesome God and He is merciful. Whatever He does with miscarriages’, He does. So why do Christians think they have a right to tell another woman what to do with her body?
